Lexi's Puppies Named

We recently posted about Lexi's pups born during the run up to Christmas and as you can imagine they are all delightful bundles of joy. If you haven't read the story of Lexi and Apollo then you can do so here A Surprise Ending to 2021

Both mum and dad are doing well, but sadly one of the pups passed during the first night. Although the whelping box had roll bars, and despite keeping a close eye on them, unfortunately, Lexi managed to sit on him. He was named Theo and now rests in Debbie's (GSD Welfare Fund's Chairman) garden. The other pups (4 boys and 4 girls) are finding their feet and thoroughly enjoying exploring the bright new world they've joined. They've all been named now, so please give them a warm Welfare welcome!

First lets meet Blaize who was originally identified with a light blue tag. Blaize is the heaviest of the litter, and he has such an adorable face!

This is Sam and as you can see, loves a good stretch. We originally identified him with a dark blue collar. Sam is quite an inquisitive puppy.

Nick (named after St. Nicholas - all of the pups received Christmas themed names) had a green collar. He is the most mischievous of them all. Even when the rest of the litter is sleeping, Nick is still looking for mischief. He also seems to be the most daring.

This super cute face once had a gold collar to identify him. We've now named him Frosty. He is a nice steady pup.

We've named this little sweetheart is called Lucy - she once wore a pink collar. Lucy is the heaviest of the girls and only weighs a little less than Blaize.

She was once yellow, but now known as Angel and she really is one! Angel is the smallest of them all. We were slightly worried at the beginning because she was considerably smaller than the others. We ensured she was put on mum to feed and although still the lightest, her weight gain is consistent. Now on solids, she is the only one to finish the whole dish of food to herself. She has earned the nickname Tinky. Everybody falls in love with her.

Her red collar is now replaced by the more grandiose name of Star, and we're sure that she will be. Star is a very confident pup and is certainly a looker.

Last, but far from least, we have Eve who originally wore regal purple. Eve is the sleepy head of them all. When the others are feeding, she prefers to sleep, sometimes even falling asleep in the feed bowl. We keep a close eye on Eve to ensure that she eats sufficiently and that her weight gain is consistent.
